Terms of service

1. Who can use StudyMate

You must be a currently enrolled student at a listed university, be at least 16, and pass verification before you can transact. One account per person.

2. What we do and do not do

We provide the marketplace, the payment ledger and the dispute process. We do not employ providers, guarantee outcomes or grades, and do not supervise sessions.

3. Payment protection and fees

• Orders are funded before work begins. Minimum order value is ৳200.
• Providers pay the platform fee, shown on every earnings breakdown. Clients pay no fee.
• Minimum withdrawal is ৳500. Released funds settle to available balance after 3 days.
• All amounts are recorded in poisha in an append-only ledger.

4. Order lifecycle

The scope agreed at purchase is frozen into the order. Delivery, revisions (capped), approval, auto-release at 72 hours and dispute windows follow the resolution policy, which forms part of these terms.

5. Prohibited conduct

• Requesting or accepting payment outside StudyMate.
• Ghostwriting graded work, exam impersonation, or sharing leaked assessments.
• Harassment, discrimination, or sharing another user's documents or contact details.
• Fake accounts, fake reviews, or manipulating disputes.

6. Sanctions and termination

We may warn, suspend listings, hold payouts, suspend or ban an account under the published sanctions ladder. Balance forfeiture applies only to proven fraud. You may appeal once.

7. Liability

Our liability for any order is limited to the amount held safe for that order. We are not liable for academic consequences of how you use the help you receive.

8. Changes

Material changes are notified in-app 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after that is acceptance.
