Academic integrity pledge

StudyMate exists so a student who already aced a course can teach one who hasn't. It does not exist to hand in someone else's work under your name.

What is welcome

  • Live 1-on-1 explanation of a concept, derivation or problem set method.
  • Walkthroughs of a worked example so you can then do your own.
  • Feedback on a draft you wrote — structure, clarity, gaps, errors.
  • Code review that explains why something breaks and how to reason about it.
  • Exam preparation, practice problems, past-paper strategy.

What is banned

  • Writing, or substantially rewriting, an assignment that will be submitted for marks.
  • Sitting an online exam, quiz or viva for someone else.
  • Selling or sharing leaked exam papers or solution manuals.
  • Any work a course explicitly forbids getting help on.

Both sides sign this

Clients pledge that the help they buy will not be submitted as their own unaided work. Providers pledge to teach rather than to produce. We record the pledge version and the timestamp on both accounts.

Enforcement

An integrity violation escalates straight past direct resolution to arbitration. Proven violations mean a full refund to the client where relevant, a strike, and — on repeat or egregious cases — a permanent ban. Providers who solicit ghostwriting are removed on the first proven instance.

If your university asks

We will hand a student a copy of their own order records. We position this product as sanctioned peer tutoring and will not defend work-for-hire.
